The Stealth carbon/kevlar skimboard is made with the advanced/competitive rider in mind. When carbon fiber is added to a skimboard, it creates more stiffness, less flex and a highly responsive ride. This will allow you to obtain a higher speed, thus reaching farther, with your skimboard. Many skimboards with carbon on both sides, are too stiff. A Wave Zone skimboard has carbon only on the deck, and surrounding the bottom of the board, a three-inch carbon rail wrap is used. The stiffness of carbon is still maintained, and the wrap provides protection for the important contact points on the bottom of the board.

Divinycell, a waterproof, light and durable foam, is used for the skimboard`s core, as it`s the superior choice compared to polyurethane or extruded poly styrene (EPS) foam. With the repeated impacts a skimboard takes, with these alternatives you are risking delamination and dings that take on water and rot. With divinycell you get excellent fracture toughness, high energy absorption, dimensional stability and a high strength to weight ratio, which is very important in a skimboard.
