This is the Hydro (Core, Progressive or Tapered) premium skimboard upgraded to include Wave Zone`s insanely fast speed inducing Tech bottom sheeting, which allows the board to move across the water with zero surface resistance. Also includes your choice among exclusive bottom art graphics.
The Hydro premium skimboards are a breakthrough in premium skimboard design. With the expertise of Wave Zone Skimboard`s top board builders, each board is laid up by hand. With the high density core strength of their "stiffy construction," hard boxy rails, graduated nose and remarkably light composite materials, the performance of the Hydro skimboards have become the top choice of their team riders.
With the Hydro Tech premium skimboard, you get all of the premium options of the Hydro skimboards upgraded with Wave Zone`s insanely fast speed inducing bottom sheeting. It allows your board to move across the water with zero surface resistance. Choose your favorite bottom art graphic among the exclusive options found on this page.
The deck is made from a composite material called Barracuda. Wave Zone`s extensive research and development led them to this extremely lightweight aluminized glass, which has the tensile strength of steel and the sheen of a 3D metallic. Barracuda is used in ballistic and stab proof body armor, motorcycle helmets, etc. It is revolutionary and even better than texalium, and is made in the USA.
Divinycell, a waterproof, light and durable foam, is used for the skimboard`s core, as it`s the superior choice compared to polyurethane or extruded poly styrene (EPS) foam. With the repeated impacts a skimboard takes, with these alternatives you are risking delamination and dings that take on water and rot. With divinycell you get excellent fracture toughness, high energy absorption, dimensional stability and a high strength to weight ratio, which is very important in a skimboard.
Choose blue, charcoal, gold, green or silver for the deck, and which board type you want (if you haven`t, you can read about them here: Core, Progressive, Tapered), then come back to this page and select your board type above.
